COMES IN CAPSULE

The Seymour Unicorn was comissioned by King Henry VIII to represent his ancestry and that of his third wife Jane Seymour. The creature is one of the 10 statues of heraldic animals on the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace on Jane Seymour's chief supporter. It wears a royal coronet on its head and a wreath of flowers around its neck. The Unicorn holds the full un-maritaled arms of the Queen. The beast is a symbol of purity and fertility due to the King's hope that the marriage would lead to the son he wanted so badly.
