Struck by the Perth Mint from two ounces of 99.99% pure silver the this stunning hourglass themed coin features a miniature hourglass insertsurrounded by a unique astrological design. Arranged around a central insert of a miniature hourglass, it includes stylised representations of the sun and moon with facial features, and phases of the moon–waxing, full and waning –embodying the passing of time. Representing the passage of time for hundreds of years, the image of an hourglass remains significant in modern culture. As the ‘sands of time’ slip away, the hourglass isa powerful symbolic reminder of the transience of all things. All coins have been individually 'antiqued' and as a result of this treatment, the appearance of each coin may vary. The mintage is limited to only 2,500 pieces worldwide.
