The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC)issues a silver collector coin with a nominal value of €5 in proof condition and a mint year of 2025.
The coin commemorates the 70th anniversary of the start of the Eoka struggle against British colonial rule.
It will be limited to 2,000 coins
The Reverse side displays “Grigoris Afxentiou gave his life for the freedom of Cyprus on March 3, 1957, in a battle that went down in history as a symbol of bravery and self-sacrifice,”
The obverse side displays the emblem of the Central Bank of Cyprus, along with the ‘Cyprus‘ in Greek, English and Turkish, as well as the year ‘2025’.
