Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps celebrates 75 years of Formula 1
Silverstone, Monza, Indianapolis... as well as Spa-Francorchamps: world-famous circuits that rank among the top motorsport tracks. Many consider Spa to be the most beautiful circuit in the world. Its spectacular layout, the legendary Raidillon bend and the natural undulations of the Ardennes make it unique.
A rich history
Races have been held here since 1921. In 1950, Formula 1 raced there for the first time. In 2025, Spa-Francorchamps will therefore celebrate its 75th anniversary as an F1 circuit, with greats like Fangio, Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton battling for victory there.
Commemorative 2-euro coin
In honour of this anniversary, the Royal Mint of Belgium will issue a 2-euro coin with the circuit as its central design. The coin is available in two versions: Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) in thematic coincard maximum 150,000 pieces divided into two language versions and in Proof quality in case. The circulation is limited to 5,000 pieces: a must-have for enthusiasts and collectors.
